The Masked Head — Yellow cowl, black upward-sweeping fins, solid white eye lenses. The lower face exposed: jaw, chin, mutton-chop sideburns, five-o'clock shadow rendered with individual stubble dots. This is the icon — the Wolverine that even non-comics fans recognize.
The Unmasked Head — Full face visible. Blue eyes under a heavy brow, vertical scar through the right eyebrow, deep nasolabial folds, lips pulled back over clenched teeth. Wing-swept black hair with blue-grey strand highlights. This is the weapon — Logan between targets, not posing for the team photo.
Both heads are finished to the same standard. The unmasked sculpt gets additional skin detail — pores, fine wrinkles at the eye corners, mottled flesh tones across the cheeks — that only becomes paintable at 1/4 scale. The masked head gets its own treatment: the cowl's yellow matches the suit's hexagonal texture, and the white lenses have a slight translucency that reads as quartz rather than flat paint.

Metallic armor plating — Blue pauldrons, knee pads, boot armor. Semi-gloss metallic treatment simulating painted metal, then hand-painted silver chips at the edges, directional scratch marks, and dark grime deposits around rivets.
Three black tiger-stripes run vertically down the ribs — matte black against mustard-toned yellow, clean-edged, symmetrical. The red utility belt has a rectangular buckle with the X-Men emblem (black X on red field, silver-edged) with silver metallic weathering across its raised surfaces.
The bare arms go further: realistic tan with reddish undertones, visible veins (sculpted, then painted), fine hair texture, pore-level detail. At 1/4 scale, these arms are large enough for individual paint applications rather than suggested musculature.
The Base: A Scene With Its Own Story
Wolverine stands on a forest floor — brown earth, moss-covered rocks, green ferns, a simulated water effect. But Iron Studios embedded wreckage throughout:
Sentinel remains — Rusted dark-grey mechanical debris scattered across the forest floor. Tank tread sections. Armored plating with geometric patterns. Robotic sensor clusters. The mutant-hunting machine that has been Wolverine's most consistent enemy since X-Men #1.
